has spent the past 15 years in consumer and B2B marketing developing brand strategies, managing data-driven, multi-million dollar campaigns and launching new businesses. She has deep expertise in social media, direct-response marketing, media buying, and all aspects of digital and print campaigns.
Mary’s experience includes roles at large corporations and early-stage companies. She spent nearly a decade in publishing at companies—including Reader’s Digest and Scholastic—where she primarily led customer acquisition at several large divisions, driving millions of new customers annually.
More recently, as the VP of Marketing and Program Development at dLife, a digital health company about diabetes, she oversaw a clinical research trial creating the basis for its B2B health services business and directed all marketing to consumers and healthcare professionals. Prior to starting Starpoint, Mary was the SVP of Marketing at a social media technology company, Engage121.
Mary also serves on the Executive Board of the Women’s Center, a non-profit that provides emergency shelter to victims of domestic violence, free counseling services, and community education to area schools.
She received her BS in finance and French magna cum laude from Boston College and holds her MBA from the Amos Tuck School at Dartmouth College.

has spent the last 10 years helping brands use content wisely, focusing on creating engaging campaigns via content strategy, team leadership, creative development, governance and optimization, as well as the innovative use of technology. Her experience ranges from global consumer product conglomerates to non-profit startups and B2B service providers.
With a BA in biology from Barnard College and MS from Columbia Journalism, Elena spent 20+ years working in both print and digital as an editor and writer for magazine companies such as Condé Nast, Time Inc., and Meredith. Her work has been in Life, Real Simple, Health, Prevention, More, Men’s Health, Ladies’ Home Journal, Reader’s Digest, Shape, and dozens of other publications. She is the author of The Chelsea Piers Fitness Solution (2007). Elena has presented both at national conferences and on television (including Good Morning America). She even once advised Health Secretary Tommy Thompson on a topic that influenced policy.
Switching to marketing, Elena was the creative leader for blog-based and video-based campaigns, introducing optimizations that dramatically boosted engagement. As VP/Group Director for content marketing at Digitas Health, she led the strategy, execution, and approvals on multi-million dollar content campaigns for several top-10 pharma companies.
Elena is also a co-founder of KEEP, the Katonah Education Exchange Program, a non-profit that raises funds to keep girls in school. The group currently supports 130 girls in northern India.
